ATN Corp. donates $300,000 to support Gorta Group’s relief efforts in Ukraine

ATN continues to work with international groups and provide much-needed resources to the citizens of embattled Ukraine. ATN donates $300,000 to one of the oldest international organizations dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poor and victims of conflict.

DORAL, Fla. (PRWEB) March 25, 2022

ATN, Corp., an industry leader in innovative optics for civilians, law enforcement and the military, have donated $300,000 to The Gorta Groupan NGO founded in 1965 to help people and communities in war zones and conflicts and to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to Ukraine.

Gorta Group CEO Ray Jordan arrived in neighboring Slovakia on the same day the Russians invaded Ukraine. With its senior staff, the organization brokered partnerships with Ivano Frankvisk Hospital No. 2, the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two Slovak NGOs, secured a camp in Vysne Nemecke and secured vehicles and drivers for border crossing. Until early March, Gorta Group provided social and medical services to refugees and delivered non-medical items, including much-needed flour for Ukrainian bakeries.

Currently Gorta Group has three warehouses and distribution centers (two in Ukraine, one in Slovakia), two hospitals in Ivano Frankvisk, Ukraine receiving medical supplies and a regional food distribution center also located in Ivano Frankvisk. Gorta Group’s dedicated employees have decades of experience in large-scale distribution of food and non-medical items to marginalized and conflict-affected communities.

Marc Vayn, founder of ATN Corp, an American citizen born in Kyiv, Ukraine, was in Bulgaria helping efforts to provide Ukrainian citizens with much needed defense products against Russian forces. ATN set up a donation platform, of which Vayn has donated $100,000 of his personal funds to the cause. The ATN fund has currently raised $170,000 for the cause.

Vayn stated, “ATN’s $300,000 donation will go far enough to provide food and non-medical supplies to refugees who are fleeing and staying in Ukraine. Just supplying Ukrainian bakeries with flour to keep producing bread for the citizens is an act of defiance on the face of anyone who would try to destroy the government of a peaceful, democratic country. ATN will continue to stand with our brothers and sisters in their struggle for freedom.”

James Munn, CEO of ATN, co-founder of America-based ATN, Corp. and US Army veteran, commented on this recent business-based donation: great mission to end people’s suffering by providing them with medical supplies and food immediately, and long-term to help these communities get back on their feet. Within two weeks, the Gorta Group team had already sourced and secured storage, medical and non-medical products, licenses, partners, contract workers and more, all aimed at helping the Ukrainian people, whether they are refugees or within its borders war-torn borders remain.”
