KARACHI — Karachi police on Wednesday arrested a suspected Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist for his alleged involvement in various incidents including attacks on armed forces and other terrorist activities.
A team from Gizri Police Station in a joint operation with an intelligence agency arrested Sher Daraz, aka Sher Khan, according to a spokesman for South District Police.
During the first interrogation, the detainee admitted his involvement in attacks on military and other forces. He revealed that he had worked with five of the organization’s commanders.
He also told investigating authorities that he had been in Afghanistan for meetings with other terrorist organizations.
Police also seized a hand grenade and a 30-hole pistol along with cartridges belonging to the arrested terrorist. One case has been registered and further investigations are ongoing.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh seized heroin and ice in separate operations on Wednesday.
According to an ANF Sindh spokesman, ANF Korangi Police Station intercepted a package at a private courier company and seized 2.6kg of heroin tactfully concealed in gloves. The package was booked for the UK.
ANF ​​Gulshan Iqbal Police Station intercepted a suspicious package at a bus stop near Sohrab Goth and seized 900 grams of ice.
Cases have been registered and further investigations are underway.
